1966 Chrysler 9.2 hp electric start outboard boat motor running
1966 Chrysler 9.2 hp electric start outboard boat motor running in test barrel. Cleaned up points, and she fired right off. The cover has a bubble top to accomodate starter. Lens in top lights up when battery is charging (when at speed). It has the origional Chrysler key (like the old Chrysler vehicles had). Shes not pretty, but that will change this winter. Going to soda blast it, and repaint/decal it. I have the shifter handle. It needs a new roll pin.

1971 Evinrude Outboard Parts Diagram
I need a parts diagram for replacing the impeller on a 1971 4 hp Evinrude Outboard motor and also for a carb kit and points replacement.
These were microfiche parts diagrams, and the kit parts were indicated in a couple different ways. Usually by astericks or indented parts list following the kit number. I knowin the early 1990′s the shop I was working at still used this system.
Sometimes the price book would refer you to a new part number, but the parts kit would remain unchanged. Many of these kits came with an instruction sheet and parts list. Bottom line, most mechanics knew which parts went where and how to do the job, so any diagrams or instructions went in the trash.
I know I didn’t keep any. Some of the published, how to books may have information, but I’d just get the kit, and keep track as you take the old one apart. It’s very simple. In recent years, I been photographing a lot of stuff before I work on Evinrude Outboards. It’s a handy referance for later. Good Luck!
