1987 Bayliner 3870 Motoryacht Boat Review
Hi gang, Rick here from Bayliner Parts with another Bayliner Boats Review.

1987 Bayliner 3870 Motoryacht
Cockpit: Cockpit is fairly small if fishing is your interest. Adequate for normal cruising. Visibility from Flybridge is excellent although requires a step back when backing into a slip.
Cabin: Interior cabin is huge for a boat this size. Two full cabins with double beds, 2 heads – 1 with a bathtub. Microwave, three burner stove and oven, icemaker. Lower helm station is a waste. Visibility form lower helm is limited – especially when boat is on plane.
Construction: Bayliner has been knocked for shoddy construction. I can only say that I have owned this boat for 15 years with little trouble. It has cruised from the Great Lakes to Key West and back with little difficulty. The larger Bayliners are good boats. I have also owned a Sea Ray – nothing but trouble. Give me a choice – I’ll take the Bayliner!
Handling: Not a speed merchant. About 17 -20 MPH top speed. However, it gets about 1.3 – 1.5 mpg. That is pretty good for a boat this size. It would be nice to have more power in a following sea. In 2 – 4 footers she does well. A nice soft ride.
Engine Room: Twin Hino -175 HP diesels. Simple – Naturally aspirated and bullet proof. Give clean oil, fuel, filters and they run forever
General Comments: This has been a great boat – especially for the capital invested. It is not a Viking or a Hatteras, but it has served my family well. Whenever I go to the boat shows, I always leave thankful that I have this boat. I have not found anything for under $400,000 that would replace it.

Bayliner Boat Reviews – 2004 Bayliner 192 Classic Cuddy
Hi gang, Rick here from Bayliner Parts with another Bayliner Boats Review.
Bayliner Boat Reviews – 2004 Bayliner Model: 192 Classic Cuddy
Cockpit: Cockpit is following the European designs, this looks nice, but leaves little room for fish finders or other equipment. Also, Bayliner intended you to sit while driving, I cant do that. The seat isnt adjustable, and you find yourself standing off to the side.
Cabin: Great getaway for our 2 small kids, to change in, or as a last resort potty. Never slept in it though, probaly a lil cramped and hot, but would suffice.
Construction: No locker for the anchor. Been in 4 foot waves, seems pretty solid.
Handling: Handles well once trimmed properly. Seen 20+ mile off shore excursions. Cuddy brings the front end up higher, making it much more capable of rough weather.
Engine Room: 4Cyl Merc is a hard starter and rough idler, but does pull the boat suprisingly well for its size and gas mileage is great, very important at 2.00+ a gallon.
General Comments: Bayliner Im sure sells this a premier lake boat, but we put her to work in the gulf, hauling the family and doing some offshore fishing. Watch the weather and be smart. Bayliner Parts Thanks to; Boat Reviews By Owners – By-The-Sea
