One of the most common styles of boat cover is the Storage/Trailer Boat Cover. This type of cover is designed to cover the boat completely from bow to stern. You can obtain a semi-custom fit boat cover from your local Chandlery or one of the many marine stores found online.

Here is valuable information on boat covers to help you in choosing the right canvas for your boat.
This style of cover is great for trailering your boat or using it as a boat storage cover. They usually come with with a braided rope sewn into the hem which you can draw tight when installing to your boat. You will find Tie-down loops sewn every 2-3 feet so you can strap it to your trailer. These covers are manufactured using marine polyester. Polyester is a very good fabric for boat covers as it doesn’t shrink. Most Chandlery’s have an upgraded boat cover in Sunbrella acrylic. Sunbrella is the “premier fabric” when it comes to boat canvas applications.

Tie-down kits are available. Nylon straps with quick-release buckles. Unlike bungee cords these straps will not stretch, so they won’t tear your cover or damage your boat.
