Boating – Bayliner Boats Review – What does Bayliner Have to Offer You the Boater.....

Whether you’re a seasoned or first time boater – whether you are buying or have a boat for sale…

Reviews should play a big part in your boating research online and offline. They can and will arm you with valuable boating information that you can leverage when it comes to purchasing or selling your watercraft.

These series of articles are going to provide you information on what models each marine manufacturer have.

These reviews are also an excellent valuation for your own watercraft by gathering information on your mechanical, electrical, interior and exterior maintenance and what’s available in boat covers.

In this article I’m going to provide you the following boating information;

•	Bayliner Boats
•	A brief history of the manufacturer
•	Most popular boat models
•	What is available in boat covers

Ok so let’s get started – Bayliner Boats originally started in 1965 by Mr. Orin Edson, who at the time was operating a company called Advanced Outboard Marine. Orin founded the company in 1955 and was selling outboard engines and boating accessories.
Mr. Edson went out and purchased some deck and hull fibreglass molds from a very small boat manufacturer named Bayliner, located in North Sound, Washington.

Today Bayliner Boats are owned and manufactured by the Brunswick Marine Group, who is a leader in the marine industry today.

Some of the most popular models of Bayliner Boats;

1.	Capri Bow Rider
2.	Capri Cuddy
3.	Ciera
4.	Discovery
5. Fish and Ski
6.	Sunbridge
7.	Classic
8.	Motor Yacht
9.	Victoria
10.	Jazz

As you can see Bayliner offers plenty of models to choose from. They have a boat that will suit you and your families boating needs on the water.

Here is what’s available in boat canvas for these boat models of Bayliner;

• 4 Piece Top Set – which includes top, side curtains and slant stern curtain.
• 5 Piece Top Set – which includes top, side curtains, slant stern curtain and bow cover.
•	Camper Top Set – This includes top, side curtains and camper back.
•	Bimini Top Set – This includes bimini top, front curtain, side curtains and slant stern curtain.
•	Cruise Top Set – This includes bimini top, front curtain, side curtains and cruise stern curtain.
•	Bimini Top
•	Cockpit Cover
•	Cockpit/bow Cover Set
•	Mooring Cover
•	Trailer/Storage Cover

As you can see there are many types of boat covers available. Before you purchase new boat canvas – educate yourself with the correct terminology for different styles of boat covers and what they do to protect your boat. That way you can be sure get the proper canvas that best suits your needs.

Hi gang, Rick Ostler here from North American Waterway bringing you Bayliner Parts and Bayliner Boats along with news and views from the boating industry. Here is a boat review on the new 2009 Bayliner 185 Bow Rider Boat with Flight Package.

Without a doubt, the Bayliner 185 has been one of the most popular bow rider boats under 20 feet world wide. The 185 has always been a great family boat, excellent for taking the kids out on the water for a day of fishing or tubing.

The large stern sun pad makes for a comfortable day of relaxing and sun tanning. The 185 is easy to tow from lake to lake with a towing road weight of 3000 pounds.

With a standard base price around $16,000 (at the time this article was written), you can easily understand why the Bayliner 185 is on so many bow rider boat buyers short list.

Some of the standard features are;

Corner starboard jump seats which can be flipped upside down so they can be used as steps to get to the transom or fishing platform.

The cockpit seats are deep, an excellent security feature especially for children. Also makes for a warmer boat outing in early spring or late fall when cooler weather is upon us.

The stereo system is a Jensen 129 watt with two marine speakers and a MP3 jack, providing plenty of sound for this size of boat.

The Optional Bayliner 185 Flight Package

The optional flight package comes with a custom wakeboard tower, additional Jensen marine stereo speakers, adjustable bimini top, spreader lights and an extended swim platform.

Powered with a Mercury Marine Mercruiser 4.3 inboard/outboard engine with a top speed of 50 m.p.h. The Bayliner 185 planes out quickly (3-4 seconds) fast enough for towing water sports fun all day long.

This is why year after year the Bayliner 185 has been one of the most popular bow rider boats the boating industry has seen.

2009 bayliner 194 Ski and Fish

Why will the Bayliner 194 Ski and Fish boat in Big Demand? Eighteen and nineteen feet bow rider boats have been most sought after family boats in the boating industry over the last twenty years. The Bayliner 194 Fish and Ski is no exception.

The redesigned 194 is a versatile boat, whether you are enjoying a day of skiing, pulling a tube or trying to catch that big large mouth bass on the lake everyone is talking about.

The Bayliner 194 comes standard with some really creative features…..Trolling motor, fishing rod casting decks and a unique livewell that also acts as a fish cutting board. You will find the livewell located under the stern bench seat at back of boat.

Another feature is a top notch marine sound system which comes with an mp3 jack and cd player which you will find inside the glove box.

The trolling motor located on the port side of bow is wireless with a remote enabling you to control directions while you are anywhere in the boat. I think this would be a great advantage for fisherman.

The cockpit interior consists of two very comfortable bucket seats, a stern bench seat and a really cool feature; a fisherman’s casting seat hidden under the stern sun pad that is easily accessible.

The bow interior consists of two bow cushions and another fisherman’s casting seat on a adjusting pedestal.

The Bayliner 194 Ski and Fish is powered with a Mercury Marine Mercruiser 4.3L. The boats overall length is 19 feet with a beam width of 7 ft. 11 inches. And can seat up to nine people comfortably.

Pros: Price, storage, good looks, fit and finish.

Cons: Instruments, ski locker

The Bottom Line: A great boat. There are nicer boats out there but for the money I spent this one seemed like the best value.

carvedrock_com’s Full Review: Bayliner 195 Classic We purchased our 2005 Bayliner 195 Classic at the end of the 2005 season. We paid $15000 including prep, delivery, and trailer. Not once have we regretted our purchase.

We were attracted to the very nice lines of the boat and the abundance of storage space within the boat. Many other boats at this price point lack usable storage built along the sides of the boat and the rear seats are too low to store a cooler under. The Classic’s ski locker is smaller than I would prefer but its size is of course limited by the overall size of the boat.

Our engine is the 4.3 liter Mercury with 135 horsepower. Our top speed is in the mid 40 mph range with the family on board. At that speed the ride is still dry and controlled. The engine/boat is adequate for pulling skier, tubing, and all the other sports we pursue. Our gas usage varies but is usually less than 15-20 gallons for a day and a half weekend.

Instruments are sparse but adequate, including Tach, Speed, Oil Pressure, and Temperature.

The largest shortcoming of the boat is the small step provided in lei of a swim platform. When we are setting up for water sports we must do so from inside the boat.

Recommended:
Yes

Amount Paid (US$): 15000
Brand of Motor: Mercury
Primary Location of Use: Large lakes and reservoirs
Primary Type of Use: All-around recreation
