Its an upgraded stator that Mercury makes. To try and make it simple it doesn't have a High and Low speed trigger on it now. It just has one trigger that operates through the whole RPM range. If you have a "black" stator now when you buy the "red" one it comes in a kit with a few other parts that you will need to put on.<br><b>References : </b><br> The stators are "red".
