Does anyone know the definition of Mercury Marine red parts?
Need a new stator for my 2001, 175hp. XR2 motor. Have replaced it before and now need to pay again. Want the best available. Only rich people can afford cheap things. Thanks
The stators are “red”. Its an upgraded stator that Mercury makes. To try and make it simple it doesn’t have a High and Low speed trigger on it now. It just has one trigger that operates through the whole RPM range. If you have a “black” stator now when you buy the “red” one it comes in a kit with a few other parts that you will need to put on.
