Harry Larsen comes from a family of boat builders, so it is natural for him, following his retirement from Boeing, to build a special boat. About 2000 he fitted hydrofoils to a 24′ Bayliner. That was the easy part, he says. Special talent was required to adapt a laptop computer as an autopilot for roll control. Mechanical and hydraulic devices control pitch and height. @nspboarder – I think that referred to the forward wake once the boat dumps it’s nose as opposed to the rear wake – wouldn’t you love to waterski or wakeboard off the rear of that..??

@rickcornes at the moment i dont have one. when i was 15 i had a 19′ 1989 glastron carlson series special with a 270hp merc i/o. which i put a new floor in. rebuilt a carb. rewired the entire boat. and did a custom interior. i got that for free and sold for 7500. i must say i miss that boat. now my toy is a 2000 mustang gt. i would enjoy some boating tho. looking towards a fishing boat or hydrostream tho. o and i dont really need a boat when everyone else in my family has one.
