Re-powering Saves Money and Gives Older Boats New Life

Patriotledger.com reports on the option of re-powering older boats with new engines to give them a new lease on life and to save money.
With tight credit and a soft economy dampening boat sales, Repowering is an option for boat buyers seeking to hit the water at a lower cost than a new boat.
With used boat prices at their lowest in years, a repowered boat fits more customers budgets. Other boat owners like their current boat and just want the power and lower pollution of modern engines.
Not every boat is an ideal candidate for re-powering. Structural issues or other problems can make cost and effort not worth the expense.
