how to remove a 1978 115 hp mercury marine engine carbeurator

I need to clean inside, debris removal
float sticking, overflow spraying
I don’t understand your question. It’s a little ackward but stright forward. Disconnect fuel lines, and take the bolts off. once the carb is off, you can get to the bowl screws etc. Almost any of the outboard repair manuals that cover Merc would help. Good Luck!
I do not know nothing about boats but I bought a 86 Bayliner Capri with no engine?

This is my favorite website for parts and discussion on boating.
I bought a used one and as a first time owner I had a lot of questions (and a couple problems)
I joined the forum and was soon getting good suggestions to my problems, and was able to get any parts I wanted from the store. Hope you enjoy your boat as much as I have enjoyed mine!
Bayliner 192 engine drip tray?

I have recently purchased a Bayliner 192 with the Mercruiser 3.0L motor fitted. It suffered from a leaking rocker cover gasket and a weeping manifold gasket (externally), hence the bilge has lots of emulsified oil swilling around. No problem – new gaskets and bilge cleaner will sort that.
However now I don’t want to test the theory of oil and water being miscible again, should it spring another oil leak and so am looking for an under sump drip tray.
Where might I purchase such an animal in the UK, or is it just a case of attacking the wife’s washing up bowl with a stanley knife and padding it out with oil absorbant pads?
You are going to have to come up with your own tray, but there is another answer. You can get oil pads at any marine supply store and place them under the engine. There are a couple of types. One that absorbs only oil and one that absorbs oil and water. I use the oil only. They are great and if you do develope a leak any time you can tell where its coming from just by the location of the oil spot on the pad. Go to www.newpig.com, you can order them or at least see what I am talking about.
Anyone know the Volvo part # for an alternator for the AQ125A motor?

I have a 1983 Bayliner with the Volvo Penta AQ125A engine with the 270 sterndrive. My alternator is shot, and I need a Volvo part # and or a part # and source for a replacement…….Thanks All!
Just have yours rebuilt – about half price and they usually last just as long.
Your local boat or marine dealer has them. There are very few choices for small gas engines – such as one wire alt or 2 wire alt
or with or without internal regulator.
Try West Marine online or BOW – Boat Owners Warehouse…
Just be sure you get a marine alt
